Most of you have probably heard a lot of buzz about the movie The Secret. If you haven’t watched it yet, you should definitely check it out. It has literally changed my life! It was criticized by some for focusing too much on the materialistic side of things, but I think the movie is a great introduction to the law of attraction. It definitely warrants digging a little bit deeper, but for someone (like me) who had no idea this law even existed, it truly changed my perspective on life and opened up a whole new world for me.
Basically the law of attraction works like this. Like attracts like, so positive attracts positive and negative attracts negative. Everything in the universe is made up of energy including us. We are always vibrating. Always, without exception. Our thoughts create our emotions and our emotions create our vibration. Our vibration is what we send out to the universe. We then attract back what we have sent out. This law is always working no matter what. Fortunately, if you do find yourself in a negative state, which lets face it does & will happen from time to time, you do have time to reverse it. If you find yourself being negative, ask yourself what you would like instead and focus on that. This will help to flip it.
The way to really embrace this law is to do things that you love. When you feel good, you attract other good things into your life.

You can’t cease to vibrate, and Law of Attraction will not stop responding to the vibration that you are offering. So, expansion is inevitable. You provide it, whether you know you do, or not. The only question is, what is the standard of joy that you are demanding for yourself? From your Nonphysical perspective, it’s a high, high standard.”

For those of you who have seen the movie, but still aren’t convinced, I invite you to try a little technique that might change your mind. This exercise will also work for any newbies out there! Think of an object, the first one that comes to your mind. Hold the image in your mind for a few minutes. Visualize all of it’s characteristics, i.e. the shape, colour, size and any special details. Really have a clear picture of it in your mind. Now believe with all of your might, that this object is coming to you in some way, shape or form. Truly believe it. Now release it. As you go about your day, when the image pops into your head, simply picture it and know that the object is coming to you, and release it again. Make sure you do think about the object, and that it is coming to you, several times throughout the day. Do this until it actually shows up in your life. Pay attention, because it may come in a way that you least expect.
